SEN Teaching Assistant

£19,242 – £19,986 (FTE 1.0)

32.5 hours per week
Fixed-term (Supply) Position | Immediate Start

 

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant Level 1 to support KS3 pupils within a specialist educational setting in the Stratford-upon-Avon area. This is a fixed-term supply role starting immediately.

Job Requirements:

• Experience working with pupils with SEND
• Level 1 Teaching Assistant experience desirable
• Patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusion
• Ability to work effectively within a classroom team and with external professionals
Enhanced Child & Adult Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

 

Role Responsibilities:

• Support pupils’ learning as directed by the class teacher
• Assist with preparation of learning materials and classroom resources
• Participate in record keeping and provide feedback on pupils’ progress
• Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development and encourage independence
• Contribute to a positive classroom ethos and inclusive environment
